Beginner Yoga for Stiff Mornings

Listen—if you wake up stiff as a board and dread getting out of bed, this class is for you. We meet Monday mornings and move through slow, gentle stretches to loosen up tight hips and shoulders before your day starts. No pretense here. You don't need to be flexible, you don't need to be young, and you don't need to buy a single thing. A towel works fine as a strap.

I'm not a certified anything. I'm just a woman who couldn't touch her toes a few years back and figured out how to move again. Slow and boring is the whole point.

By the end you'll have a five-minute routine you can do on your own, forever. Your body, your rules. 🌞

Lessons

  1. Getting Started Without the Fuss

    What this class is, what it isn't, and how to set yourself up with stuff you already own.

  2. Waking the Body Up

    The first gentle moves to do before you even fully leave the bed.

  3. Loosening Tight Shoulders

    For anyone whose shoulder won't lift the coffee pot some mornings.

  4. Opening Up the Hips

    The tight hips that make getting out of bed a chore, worked on gently.

  5. Backs, Folds, and Standing Up

    Forward folds and gentle back moves so bending over doesn't wreck you.

  6. Making It Stick

    Building your own short routine so you can do this forever without me.
