Welcome, and let's get moving May 4
Hi everyone, Kelly here. Glad you signed up. Week 1 is nothing fancy, just gentle forward folds and shoulder rolls to loosen up whatever's been locking up on you overnight. No pretzel poses, I promise. Before May 4, introduce yourself below, tell us your name and why you're here. Stiff back, bad knees, just tired of groaning getting out of bed? I want to hear it. That's exactly why I started too.
shane, american fork here.
Scott here, American Fork!
American Fork, work as an electrician so mornings i'm kinda stiff from crouching in crawlspaces all day. Scott the truck seat thing is real lol, mine's the ladder. Total beginner here, 6:30 is early but i'll be there for sure Thanks!
Over in Ridgeline here.
Cedar Hollow here... my shoulders just lock right up from woodworking, being bent over the bench all day does it every time. total beginner and a little nervous about 6:30, not gonna lie
Christina here, Orchard Row.
American Fork proper.
A client of mine at the salon does hot yoga like four times a week and she was going on and on about it while I had her under the steamer, and I mentioned I signed up for this and she just laughed and said "beginner stiff mornings, oh you'll be fine" in this tone like it was cute... anyway she told me to look up some kind of sun salutation video before Tuesday just I'm not lost I might do that Sunday night. My shoulders haev been so tight from hunching over clients all day that I cant touch my toes right now we'll see! Also May 4th is my early morning in the garden watering day so I might show up smelling like tomato plants, fair warning.
is it normal that my wrists hurt like crazy in anything downward dog related but my actual back feels fine. idk if im doing something wrong wiht my hands or if i just need to build up to it. anyone else deal with this at the start
so whos teaching this, is it someone certified or just a ward member who wacthes youtube videos and decided to chareg for it. not trying to be a jerk just want to know what im paying for before i commit tuesday mornings to it. also do i need my own mat or are they providing one, cause im not buying a $40 mat for a class i might bail on after two weeks
Im signed up for this and excited but... do we need actual yoga mats or is a towel fine for the first class. i do strength stuff at home but never bought a mat, feels dumb to buy one if this ends up not being my thing lol. anyone know before Wednesday?? :(
wait shane not everyone's mornings are wrecked tho lol, mine are fine until like 10am then i fall apart 😭 stiff for me is more like end-of-shift-at-the-shop stiff, not morning stiff. curious if this class actually helps w that or if its a.m. focused bc that's the whole reasno i signed up ngl
