About Utah Community Learning

Utah Community Learning is a community-education program serving all of Utah County. That means Orem, Provo, Lehi, American Fork, and the towns up and down the valley. We put on small, friendly, practical classes: cooking, crafts, technology, photography, and whatever else a neighbor is willing to teach. And we give every class an online home where the conversation keeps going between sessions.

Our instructors aren't traveling professionals. They're the people you see at the grocery store: a dad who's worn out two 3D printers, a mom whose kimchi shelf is the envy of her street, a retired school secretary who can crochet faster than most people can type.

We don't run a building, and most classes don't need one. Classes meet live on Zoom (we email the link when you register), and every class keeps an online home where the lessons, materials, and conversation live between meetings. When classmates want to see each other in person, they organize it on the class board: coffee-and-questions sessions at Beans & Brews in Lehi, project days at the WeWork at Innovation Pointe in Lehi, and the outdoor classes meet where the subject lives, at trailheads, gardens, and driveways.

Classes run in seasonal sessions. Browse the catalog anytime. Class pages, lessons, and discussion boards are open for anyone to read.

We're based in American Fork and serve all of Utah County. Questions, ideas for a class, or want to teach one? The best way to reach us is email: hello@thisutahlife.com. Postal mail: c/o ThisUtahLife, 1633 W Innovation Way, Lehi, UT 84043.
