Diane didn't plan on becoming a plant person. She started because she got mad at her water bill and tired of watching her sod turn crunchy by July. Since moving to the Greenwood neighborhood in 2022 she's dug up, drowned, and occasionally kept alive a lot of drought tolerant plants, and she's honest about all three.
She took a beginner xeriscape class, badgered the instructor with questions for a month, and got asked to teach the next level. She's a binder person, over-prepares supplies, and cares more about what survives than what photographs well. Her favorite plant is a chunk of her grandmother's yarrow.
