Annie didn't grow up eating Indian food. She grew up on the Utah casserole rotation, and the first curry she remembers came from a jar. It clicked years later, on a mission in Fiji, sitting at a counter in Indo-Fijian kitchens asking too many questions while someone cooked without measuring anything. She came home, forgot about it for a while, then fell down an obsession spiral of cookbooks and videos and never climbed back out. A high school teacher by day, she over-preps, teaches by asking, and would rather say "let's find out" than fake it. She's a snob about exactly one thing: fresh ginger and garlic.

What Annie teaches
