Anyone try landscape fabric under gravel? Let's talk about it
I want to hear if anyone's used landscape fabric under their gravel, because I ripped out forty feet of the stuff one fall, cursing the whole time. Weeds root right into the gravel on top of it and then you can't pull them without tearing everything up. Curious if anyone's had better luck than me.
Forty feet, yeah that tracks with what we learned in class last week lol. Fabric's basically a "buy now, hate it in 3 years" kind of deal... makes you wonder who's profiting off it. The fabric companies, obviously, lol. For me mulch and just being patient has worked out better so far
Forty feet sounds about right for the amount of cursing involved, done my share of that too lol!! We used fabric on one bed years ago and Troy's right, weeds just end up rooting in the dust that sits on top anyway... kinda defeats the purpose. Gonna do my new bed with just heavy mulch this time, based on what we covered in class last week.
