First class is May 5, 9:30-11:30. Bring a notebook if you're a notebook person, I'll have everything else. Quick thing though, go check your junk drawer tonight for old canning lids. If you've reused a flat lid before, no shame, just don't tell me you're gonna do it again in my class. Rings are fine forever. Lids are one-time only, for sure for sure.

Daniel here, Greenwood side... erin does most of our canning but the garden's producing more than she can keep up with so I got voluntold to learn. justin, fermenting EVERYTHING but never canning is basically my life with grilling versus any other cooking method lol

So my neighbor who's been canning for like 30 yaers told me the whole "reusing lids is fine actually" debate is basically reliigous warfare in some of these canning forums online..... went down a rabbit hole last night instead of finishing my lesson plan for nursery, lol. found this one thread where people were arguing for like 200 comments about Tattler reusable lids vs the regular Ball ones and honestly some of these people are unhinged about it. anyway I ordered a box of wide mouth lids off amazon because the hardware store by me only had regular mouth left on the shelf, weird run on them I guess. figured I'd mention it in case anyone else is planning on a grocery store run this weekend and gets their to find the same thing. might be a Utah County canning class surge, who knows. Also if anyone has actually used the reusable ones im curious, feels like a project I'd get way too into
