The scoring thing

I know some of you have seen the fancy leaf-pattern scoring online. I don't do that. One slash, deep enough for it to open right, that's my whole approach. If that disappoints anyone, sorry, I'd rather the bread be good than pretty on top.

Julie, I'm with you on this one!! One deep slash and a good crumb beats trying to do some fancy wheat stalk that just collapses every time anyway, for sure!! That's just my two cents but it's true lol...well, Have Fun with it!!

One slash here too... bread's for eating, not for Instagram, though Molly did make me photograph last week's loaf, lol. Turned out decent though, so I guess it was worth it.
