I left a cast iron pan wet on the counter overnight a few years back and by morning it had flash-rusted, just from our dry air doing its thing. Took three reseasonings to fix. Anyone else done this? I feel like it's a rite of passage and I'd like company.

Okay Brandon that oil-while-still-warm thing is exactly what ive been messing up to, lol. i thoguht i was seasoning it right this whole time...
So my dutch oven from Thursdays class has this weird sticky patch on it now, is that normal or did i already mess it up somehow?? kind of panicking a lil
