Last module — show me the full spread

Caroline SonInstructorJun 14, 4:12 AM

This is the one. Rice, protein, a couple banchan, soup if you're brave, all out on the table at once. The first time I did this for real I stood back and felt like I'd finally gotten it right. Then my son asked if there were chicken nuggets. Post your table, I want to see it.

Bulgogi turned out solid but my banchan spread was low key sad compared to everyone's photos here, so I went down a youtube rabbit hole last night instead of sleeping. Found some older Korean grandma channel doing quick pickled cucumbers and a spinach namul in like 6 minutes flat, no recipe card needed. Made both tonight as a test run before the "full spread" post is due. Cucumbers are 🔥, spinach needs more sesame oil than she used, my kitchen doesn't smell like hers apparently. So is anyone still team rinsing-until-the-water-runs-clear or did you all finally cave and skip that step like the rest of us heathens lol. this "last module" thing has me thinking back to thta whole rice conversation we had, feels like a month ago at this point. some of you were so committed. i respect it even if I definately do not do it every time! Anyway show me the full spread, i want pictures if you make anything from this one. Naomi still picks the onions out of everything and acts like im trying to poison her.

Bring that knife, we'll need it for the banchan cutting board traffic jam. Naomi and my son should start a support group. the nugget question is a good sign, it means the table looks like a real spread, enough dishes that a kid clocks it as "fancy" and gets suspicious! Can't wait to see what you put out Tuesday. Rice first, everything else follows.
