Show me your junk drawer
Before we start designing anything, I want to know what problem you're actually trying to solve. Mine was a kitchen junk drawer that turned into a landfill, that's the whole reason I own a printer. Post a photo of whatever's bugging you at your house. Doesn't have to be pretty, just real.
Yeah mine's the drill bits too coffee can situation, every size loose in there rattling around lol. i keep meaning to sort it but then I just dig through and find the one I need eventually it never feels urgent enough to actually fix. magnetic strips instead of a case seems like such a good idea, way easier than trying to print a bunch of dividers that'll probably crack anyway lol. might just do that instead way less work 🤙 still counts as "organizing the garage" right
My junk drawer is fine, no complaints there... its the garage bin full of half used velcro straps thats really haunting me lol 🤙 Thanks!
same here
So the velcro straps haunting you thing made me laugh way too hard braxton 😭 my garage problem is a filament spool i left uncovered and it soaked up humidity like a sponge... had to dry it out with rice for like two days, like it was a phone lol. printed a box for it too, box is 2mm too narrow tho. it just sits there and mocks me daily
Justin, the 2mm mocking box is basically a rite of passage. Measure the spool diameter and width, add at least 3mm clearance on every side before you reprint. Also, seal the spool with silica packs going forward, humidity ruins filament fast. Post a photo of the offending box, I want to see it.
