Ricky came to welding late and by accident. He retired, moved to American Fork in 2023, got a 3D printer, and kept designing things that really needed to be metal instead of plastic. So he bought a cheap used MIG welder, watched a mountain of videos, and burned through a lot of scrap before anything held.
He's not a certified welder and he'll tell you so up front. What he is, is a guy who learned the beginner version recently enough that he hasn't forgotten how scary the arc is the first time. He's patient with mistakes, generous with a torch in his hand, and happy to show you his very ugly first bead as proof it gets better.
