Kennedy didn't set out to learn spanish. half the guys on her crews speak it first, english second, and she got tired of pointing at conduit and hoping. so she picked up the real words, the ones you say when you need a hand or somebody's about to grab a hot line. self-taught mostly, apps and youtube and a coworker who corrects her when she butchers something. she's not a linguist and she'll tell you so. she teaches the thing nobody says out loud: you learn a language by being wrong in front of people until wrong gets smaller. warm, blunt, and she'll get you talking anyway.
