Kelli didn't grow up hiking. She started a few years ago because it was the one thing that emptied her head, and she treated it like every other skill she's taken on: read the details, take notes, plan for the worst case. She logs every hike in a spreadsheet the way she logs her canning jars, mileage, gain, water drunk, when the clouds started building. Over a couple of seasons she became the person other folks in Utah County text before a big route. This class is really just her sharing that spreadsheet out loud. She sticks to marked summer and shoulder-season day hikes and says so.
