Cameron is a plumber at a local HVAC shop, so he's used to crawling around mechanical rooms and behind walls. He got into smart home stuff by accident when his wife wanted the porch light on a timer, set it up wrong, and figured it out over a weekend. The tinkering stuck.
He's set up doorbells and lights for half the guys in his ward, and after enough driveway conversations he figured he'd rather explain it once to a room. He's not a gearhead and won't call himself an expert. He runs a class from the back, helping one person at a time, and he's happy to admit when he messes something up.
