Billy didn't set out to learn macrame. His wife Deborah did, back around 2019, and when the arthritis made the knots harder for her, he picked up where she left off. Turns out he liked it. He's musical, and he says knotwork works the same part of the brain, repetition until your hands know it and you stop thinking.
He's made maybe two dozen hangings now and gave most of them away. He doesn't call himself an artist. He's a guy who ties knots, teaches slow, tells you his own mistakes first, and believes a finished thing beats a perfect unfinished one.
