Single crochet check-in
We worked single crochet rows this week. Some of you had rows that grew wider every time without meaning to, that's from picking up an extra stitch at the end of the row. It happens to everybody starting out. (You will drop or gain a stitch. Everybody does.) How'd yours go?
Mine stayed even, Marilyn, low key shocked myself lol!
So single crochet count is at like... 40-something rows and i still dont know what im making lol. still team acrylic over here, I picked up more at the store, the yarn aisle is dangerous, I go in for one thing and leave with four skeins I dont need. no plan vibes at this point :):(
ok so single crochet check in... I am still going back and forth on my tension being too tight, like some rows look great and then other rows look like I'm trying to knit chainmail lol. anyone else fighting this or is it just me also still team H hook over here, obviously, because SOMEONE convinced me during the washcloth panic weeks ago that it was the answer to everything and now I can't go back 😂 jolene you know what you did. that hook has literally seen me through three projects since and I'm not sorry about it anyway just wanted to check in and see where everyone's at with theirs, do we hvae any finished squares yet or are we all still in the trenches 👍🌞
mine grew for two rows straight before i figured out i was crocheting into the turning chain by accident, lol... counting every single row now... it's slow going but at least no more triangles, that's a win for sure
Ha the "no more triangles" got me, Jolene lol. mine's def more of a trapezoid at this point.
That turning chain trick catches everybody, good eye fixing it yourself. Carly, your trapezoid's in good company, mine was a whole scarf. Counting out loud works, keep doing it till it's automatic.
